In Salão Pavão, ten performers with experience in ballroom dances perform an improvisation choreographic score at Rivoli’s Café-Teatro to the sound of a DJ’s live act. A daring manifesto of liberation unfolds on the dance floor in an attempt to challenge rules and transcend barriers. The beat of club music creates a nocturnal atmosphere of celebration, in which the bodies are hymens and the eyes are hands. The speed and intertwining of the dancers-birds provide this encounter with a fleeting dizziness, a fast-paced spiral that seems endless and in which party, expression, intimate space and reality entangle without asking permission. — Marco da Silva Ferreira
