This exhibition takes place as part of the launch of the commemorative book "20 Years Making Porto a Home", a work that celebrates two decades of Domus Social, Porto's municipal company responsible for managing the city's Public Housing Stock.
Opening the door to these houses is like stepping into a movie I missed the beginning of. The scene unfolds on a set that has long been under construction. The characters move with the naturalness of life, and I watch, attentive. The boundaries between people and space blur, to the point of dissolving at times. At other times, the walls and the bodies do not meet, but even then, the gift of making those walls home survives.
ln this set of photographs featuring families, the domestic space is a moldable place that welcomes and projects.
