Matt Cordell (Robert Z'Dar, "Samurai Cop") is a murdered ex-cop who returns from the dead to get his revenge. But first, he'll have to deal with super-cops Jack Forrest (Bruce Campbell, "Evil Dead") and Frank McCrae (Tom Atkins, "Night of the Creeps").

"Maniac Cop" is like an ultra-violent, real-image cartoon for adults, resembling a glorious mix between "Halloween" and "The Terminator". On another level, it also works as a prescient exploration of police corruption.

Basically, it's a slasher with brains - both figuratively and literally.
