And because it's also important to celebrate freedom in August, the Electric Car Museum presents Senses of Freedom accompanied by a trip in an electric car.
Senses of Freedom tells the story of a little girl who was born at the beginning of the national dictatorship. Her hair was as red as carnations, her face as freckled as bullets and her feet as heavy as her father's marches. Ever since she was a child, she had wondered what the word freedom meant. The north wind that chilled her skin, the red letters she wrote in secret, the smell and taste of the fish her mother bought at the market and the sound of the streetcars flying over the tracks. She felt freedom, but she couldn't speak it, until the day she realized the true meaning of her name.
