On stage since 1996, NU MEIO ironises the relationship of a typically Portuguese couple who take refuge in fado and "maldizer". Firmino demarcates a territory in the middle of the stage from which the two characters cannot leave and Mila obsessively tries to climb, grab and suffocate this "mountain man". The dialogue between the characters is like a soap opera, full of platitudes, words that explain encounters and disagreements, shrill laughter and church hymns transformed into operetta. For the dialogues, recent events from the place where the show is performed are referenced. To complete these dialogues, the creators collect love stories through interviews with couples from different generations. It ends with a dance in which everyone takes part.
