The exhibition ‘Linking our mouths to things’ explores the cultural and practical significance of olive cultivation in Portugal, particularly in Trás-os-Montes. Through tools, strategies, narratives and fictions, the exhibition highlights the umbilical relationship between the olive tree and the history of human nutrition and the sophisticated know-how of bodies that has allowed a constant intertwining between human beings and this plant species.
