It's 2024, 50 years after the Portuguese revolution, which ended an authoritarian regime and established democracy in the country. However, all over Europe, the growing uprising of far-right ideologies and parties is felt. "Pó de Pedra" (literal translation: Rock Dust) is a show created from day-to-day situations and personal experiences, transforming ordinary materials into key elements for the dramaturgy and exploring experimental approaches to circus techniques. This performance relies on the symbiosis between circus and electronic music. A show where acrobatics and the challenge that gravity provides come out as an investigation about the concepts of liberty and resistance. "Pó de Pedra" is also a show about love, an ode to life. We want to take risks, and we are not afraid to assume the responsibility of our undisciplined exercise. We want to break rocks into dust. - Daniel Seabra
Pó de Pedra is the result of the artistic residency project “Forças Combinadas” supported by European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists – EFFEA, an initiative of the European Festivals Association (EFA), co-funded by the European Union
