As part of the Carnation Revolution celebrations, the Institute of Sociology is organising the Colloquium ‘25 April and Sociology in Portugal’. This event will feature several panels made up of leading figures in sociology in Portugal, from different generations and organisational backgrounds, who will debate the institutionalisation of sociology in teaching and research, its professionalisation and the role of sociologists in the construction of democratic Portugal. The colloquium will take place on 27 September in FLUP's Noble Amphitheatre, and admission is free.
