The Núcleo de Imigrantes das Belas Artes (NIBA) invites you to the first session of EM VOZ ALTA (Out Loud) a reading circle that will take place biweekly throughout the school year. The invitation is to read aloud together texts by decolonial, feminist, and anti-racist thinkers for one hour. The meeting point will be the pool in the gardens of FBAUP. We will begin with parts of the book "Teaching to Transgress" by bell hooks.
Taking time to read attentively can be an act of resistance in a world where time is increasingly monetized, even in the arts. The circle is open to everyone passing by: let's stop, read, resist—between classes, on the way home, or during a break.
No prior registration necessary!
