Neighbour's Day is a special day at the Museu do Porto: every four months, one of the houses opens in a festive atmosphere to offer a free, intensive programme co-created with the people who share the territory and affection with us.

Three Sundays a year, in three different museum centres, in order to cover the vast expanse of the city and the diversity of the Porto Museum's offer, we challenge neighbours and local communities to make the houses, the collections and the proposals their own. We propose that they use the space and turn it into food for a new set of experiences and collective memories, where all generations feel the pleasure of inhabiting their museum.

From 10am until late afternoon, there are proposals for all ages, specialities and interests. There are workshops, guided tours, drifts, time to do nothing, games, conversations, discoveries, snacks, surprises, a place for music and, as always, space for neighbours to show off their talents and creations. We are together in this fine labour of weaving the city.
