Drawing is a primitive gesture, of tracing, marking, furrowing. An ancient gesture from always, of chance, of living beings, or of the elements. Animals do not think about the drawings they leave as their bodies pass, some trace slowness, others its opposite. Regarding the gesture, even in the shadow of kindness, a touch of support and tenderness may emerge. Gestures exclude their opposites; that is, fear is dispelled when an embrace occurs, and hatred when a hand is shaken.

In these gesture-drawings, voracity excludes rigidity and theoretical rationalization. They open themselves to an excess of their own, surpassing their place, disappearing to reveal what is within them. Like windows to the light, the openings are the tear that allows itself to be seen, even when there is nothing to see, or they open space for the possibilities of fantasy.
