"From 13 December to 5 January, artists from all over the world will show the most fantastic aspects of the circus arts at the Coliseu Porto Ageas Christmas Circus. With an original story written by Afonso Cruz, staging by Ana Luena, light design by Cárin Geada, original music by Carlos Tê and Pedro Vidal, we invite kids and adults to a unique, unrepeatable and surprising show!

With a new concept every year, this time the Coliseu challenged Afonso Cruz to write an original story for a memorable circus for the first time. Winner of the European Union Prize for Literature, Afonso Cruz tells us an ode to the Circus and all the arts that make it such a beautiful, demanding and surprising spectacle, which makes our eyes widen from early childhood and awakens in adults the capacity to dream.
