After performing several concerts together, Camané and Mário Laginha released, in 2019, the album Aqui Está-se Sossegado – a refined and elegant work, crafted from the ground up to showcase a piano and a voice that found an instant connection from their first encounter. The repertoire combines twenty traditional fado pieces with new compositions by Laginha – who, it should be noted, had previously set to music a poem by Álvaro de Campos (“Ai Margarida”) for one of Camané’s recent albums.
