Acclaimed for their ‘expansive, cross-cultural indie rock’, Calexico have spent most of the last three decades exploring the musical frontiers of the American Southwest, creating unique, cinematic songs as mysterious and magnificent as the arid desert landscapes that inspired them. This year, the band from Tucson, Arizona, performs at Casa da Música for a unique trio concert, made up of Joey Burns (guitar and vocals) and John Convertino (drums), the two founders, and long-time collaborator and trumpeter Martin Wenk. A rare experience for their ever-faithful audience.
