The BioBlitz is an educational and scientific event of reference in the field of education and awareness of Biodiversity, which introduces the fauna and flora of Serralves Park through the exploration of scientific and artistic methodologies. Based on a contemporary narrative, this event is part of the Sustainability Agenda, highlighting the Sustainable Development Goal of the 2030 Agenda, “Protect Earth's Life” and is part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, the first global multidisciplinary initiative developed to assess the consequences of changes in ecosystems, with a view to their conservation and sustainable use.
