abaré Brutal is an experimental performance format that brings together the performing arts, visual arts, music, video and gastronomy. It focuses on the presentation of different artistic languages within a performative context. The events combine gastronomic moments with the creation of a vaudevillian atmosphere.

The theme of the 5th edition is the ‘Centre for Social Dis-security’, which reflects on the difficulties and adversities of artistic practice as a work activity. The stage will be ‘the new fictional office of the state, the Centre for Social Insecurity’. The criteria used to select the guest artists, in addition to their individual labour paths in their production contexts and the relationship of their artistic production to it, is based on the meeting of different generations reflecting on the possibilities and paths to a common problem faced on stage.
