About the artist: Vasco Mota (1999) is a graphic designer and urban sketcher. He graduated from ESAD Matosinhos. In 2021, he created the Rabiscar o Porto project, which aims to bring together people of all ages to illustrate the city in situ. In the meantime, the project was welcomed by the Municipality of Porto and has been present at several events. The urban sketcher takes his graphic diary with him wherever he goes and illustrates, using the watercolour technique, everything he sees, from simple houses, urban and natural landscapes, details of the spaces he visits and, of course, the heritage of the city of Porto.
About the exhibition: Porto de Cor is Vasco Mota's first exhibition dedicated solely to illustrations of the city of Porto. It is a hymn to the essence of the Invicta city. In addition to presenting illustrations of the city's most visible and well-known spaces, Vasco also aims to praise the “hidden” Porto and presents “scribbles” of spaces that maintain the authenticity of yesteryear.
