It celebrated its first decade of existence in 2023 and returns this year with its usual format: Porta Jazz ao Relento offers four more moonlit concerts in the Palácio de Cristal Gardens between 18 and 21 July.
The cosy space of Lago dos Cavalinhos will be home to four more projects formed within the orbit of Porta Jazz, a prolific association of musicians that in recent years has organised countless performances in the city, artistic residencies or workshops and released more than 100 albums through its record label.
The cycle kicks off on Thursday 18th with the group Nuno Campos 4tet, led by the bassist from Porto, presenting their third album, "Something to Believe In", live. On Friday, guitarist Mané Fernandes' multimedia work "matriz_motriz" takes to the stage. On Saturday, the Axes group, led by saxophonist João Mortágua, will present "Hexagon", their second album. And finally, on Sunday 21st, the cycle closes with the quartet "GODUA".
